Year in Review 2017

2017 overflowed with exhilarating new products, a flurry of special events, the release of an inspiring book, thousands of new followers and more consultant award recipients than ever before. Take a road trip down memory lane as we celebrate our 2017 Year In Review!

Products

untitled shoot-003.jpgThe launch of the Detoxifying Charcoal Skincare line topped the charts as one of the most popular collections in the company’s fifteen-year history. Selfie photos featuring Facial Mask and exfoliating Facial Polish hit Facebook and Instagram feeds with glowing reviews. To serve our customers even more effectively we introduced Customizable Skincare Kits starting at just $46 to accommodate every budget.

The introduction of innovative new products was evident in our spring and summer lineup with the introduction of three new essential oils. The Energize Blend, Eucalyptus and Sweet Orange organic essential oils were greeted with enthusiasm by customers and consultants alike. For springtime cleaning these citrus and herbal oils have been popular choices with our loyal followers.

In the fall, a caffeine-infused lineup of coffee bar products got everyone charged up. The Espresso Body Scrub, Latte Hand & Body Bar Soap and Cappuccino Vegan Lip BBody Scrub, Latte Soap and Cappuccino lipbalm1.jpgalm featured organic oils and fair-trade coffee beans. In celebrating our 15th anniversary we offered a throwback from our early catalog: lip balm in slider tins. Dreamsicle, Root Beer Float and Cappuccino feature a hydrating, vegan formula.

Party in the New Year with 50% More Host Rewards

The hustle and bustle of the holiday season has subsided and it’s time to rest, restore and rejuvenate your mind and body. New year, new you—isn’t that how the saying goes? Whether you’re a resolution-maker or just into going with the flow, January is all about you. Refocus, re-center and get your skin back to pre-holiday-insanity perfection. Wouldn’t your friends like an invite to join you? We've increased our host cash rewards in January by 50%. Pick a date, choose a theme and let’s party!

Here’s some spa party inspiration for you.

Winter skincare 101

With so many parties, lots of drinking, eating and many carefree indulgences, combined with extreme weather conditions, the holiday season can easily be the worst time of year for your skin. Plus, keeping skin nice and hydrated throughout the winter can certainly be a challenge — especially if your skin is dry or sensitive. The most important thing you can do to is carve out time each morning and evening to do something to help you face the cold. During a “hands-on” facial class, you and your friends will find the right products to provide the moisture, vitamins and soothing properties your skin is begging for during winter months.

Short on time but still want to show your skin some TLC? Book a 30-minute Detoxifying Charcoal Facial party. Charcoal is the beauty ingredient of the moment thanks to its inherent purifying and deep cleansing abilities. It can now be found in everything from cleansers to face masks, plus it’s a hit with men, teens and tweens!

The Team Behind the Brand

What makes you happy at your job? Employers seek the answer to this question to attract and retain productive employees who also care about the company’s mission and success. Challenging tasks, a sense of belonging and the feeling of accomplishment are three primary reasons people find joy in what they do; you’ll also find these the prominent themes among Lemongrass Spa employees. Lemongrass Spa has evolved well beyond Heidi and Bryan Leist’s basement in the small mountain town of Bailey, Colorado, producing not only safe, natural products for families but opportunities for employees to explore and grow their careers. Today employees share what brings them happiness and pleasure working for Lemongrass Spa.

“I work with really great people!” Rachel, Production, Colorado FLHands1.jpg

“Because of our amazing consultants I have watched this business grow tremendously in just the short time I’ve been here. Each day I come to work I wonder what’s next for Lemongrass. With record-breaking sales and increased volumes I can’t wait to see what the future holds. There is no other place I would want to be but here, so that means you’re stuck with me! I feel like I can speak on behalf of everyone here when I say our number 1 commitment is you!!” Sean, Labeling Manager, Florida

“It’s an exciting experience seeing the company grow in all of its stages” Karen, Production, Colorado

“My favorite product – hands down – is our business opportunity! Each day I have the chance to help this company with our important mission, but also help women (& men) and moms build confidence, gain focus, gain clarity, cast a vision, feel empowered, and as such, change the trajectory of their lives.” #fieldofdreamers #becauseoflemongrassspa Kathy, National Field Developer, South Carolina

4 Steps to a Stress Free Holiday

It’s the time of year for celebration, gratitude and worship. Traveling, partying and shopping are the top three activities during the holiday season, and each of these affairs alone trigger some level of stress. Ease some of the seasonal pressure by following these four tips.

Plan & Prioritize

In all my attempts to plan ahead for our annual Thanksgiving gathering, there’s always a detail I missed. Has this happened to you too? Whether you’re hosting a formal affair or casual get-together, preparing ahead of time will reduce last minute stressors such as multiple trips to the store and frantic cleaning. Prioritize your tasks: must-be-done and would-love-to-do. Don’t pressure yourself to present a Martha Stewart-worthy soirée if this isn’t one of your strengths (it’s not mine); instead put the focus on where you excel so you can mingle and enjoy time with your guests.

A few tasks to consider completing a week or two leading up to your event:

  • Kitchen prep – are you cooking or catering? Can any portion of the food and drinks be prepared and frozen or made a few days ahead? If not, complete your slicing and dicing the day before.
  • Cleaning – it’s much easier to vacuum and wipe down counters the morning of your event than to try to clean your house from top to bottom.
  • Shopping – food, decorations or gifts, you won’t want to wait until and be stuck in long lines and crowded stores.

Quick, Healthy Recipes
