Year in Review 2017

2017 overflowed with exhilarating new products, a flurry of special events, the release of an inspiring book, thousands of new followers and more consultant award recipients than ever before. Take a road trip down memory lane as we celebrate our 2017 Year In Review!

Products

The launch of the Detoxifying Charcoal Skincare line topped the charts as one of the most popular collections in the company’s fifteen-year history. Selfie photos featuring Facial Mask and exfoliating Facial Polish hit Facebook and Instagram feeds with glowing reviews. To serve our customers even more effectively we introduced Customizable Skincare Kits starting at just $46 to accommodate every budget.

The introduction of innovative new products was evident in our spring and summer lineup with the introduction of three new essential oils. The Energize Blend, Eucalyptus and Sweet Orange organic essential oils were greeted with enthusiasm by customers and consultants alike. For springtime cleaning these citrus and herbal oils have been popular choices with our loyal followers.

In the fall, a caffeine-infused lineup of coffee bar products got everyone charged up. The Espresso Body Scrub, Latte Hand & Body Bar Soap and Cappuccino Vegan Lip Balm featured organic oils and fair-trade coffee beans. In celebrating our 15thanniversary we offered a throwback from our early catalog: lip balm in slider tins. Dreamsicle, Root Beer Float and Cappuccino feature a hydrating, vegan formula.

With eyebrows trending in every beauty blog, Lemongrass Spa introduced a duo of creamy Brow Pomades to keep yours on point. The Pomade was offered in a set, complete with a Brow Brush, stencils and mesh bag. Our Sheer Minerals Makeup jars were relaunched with new packaging that featured rotating sifters to reduce messy makeup spills. Graphite Eye Shadow, a dark silver hue, was added to our eye shadow collection.

In keeping with our promise to add even more organic items to the line we introduced two new collections scented entirely with 100% organic plant, floral and fruit extracts: Almond Biscotti and Winter Gardenia. For the holiday season, Frosted Cranberry and Candy Cane made an appearance to complete our gift set collections.

Community

As part of our Giving Back Campaign in 2017 we were very intentional about gifting our therapeutic products to those in need. Nominations were received the entire month of October, and over 1400 Loving Care Gift Sets including Healing Elements, Nail Balm and Ultra Hydrating Body Crème, were sent to cancer patients nationwide. To honor those serving in our military, over 600 Freedom Feet Foot Kits were shipped overseas to deployed women and men in the armed forces. Our field blessed the lives of local heroes through fundraising for Serve and Protect Collections that included healing products for first responders, law enforcement, teachers and firefighters.

When two catastrophic weather events impacted our Lemongrass Spa communities, our corporate team and community of consultants jumped into action. Lemongrass Spa donated 5% of all sales during the month of October which resulted in a donation surpassing $10,000 to Hurricane Harvey Relief, namely the Houston Food Bank and other local nonprofit organizations and schools. Just a few weeks later Hurricane Irma hit the southern states closing the Tarpon Springs facility for a week. The corporate office donated products and supplies to local charities including sixteen boxes of soap and skincare products for Feeding Tampa Bay. Because of the generosity of our consultants, dozens of other local charities, schools and non-profits around the country received donations of products and funds from the corporate office and consultants.

Soul-Soothing Stories Book

Soul-Soothing Stories of Cancer Survivors is a compelling book inspired by hundreds of people we’ve met over the years who have shared their inspirational stories of faith, bravery and love. The book was launched on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and on the Lemongrass Spa website in November. There’s a special tribute to Stella (my grandmother) in the book that my mother, Karen Voeltz wrote in her memory.

The stories contained in the 242-page book are from customers and consultants who have walked a cancer journey. “Because of Lemongrass Spa, I am able to share my story and help educate others every single day,” said Heather P. Miller, a Senior Director with the company. Heather is breast cancer survivor, a military wife and mom of a teenage son.

Several book-signing events around the country are being scheduled to celebrate this inspirational paperback.

Convention

Our Light the Way 2017 Convention was held in Denver, Colorado with consultants attending from around the globe! We were honored to welcome to the stage an inspiring lineup of speakers including Nicki Keohohou, Founder of the Direct Selling World Alliance; Lacy Reeves, founder of Glass Half Full Enterprises and Lindsay Tompkins from Step Into Success. We launched our customer App that weekend along with new training programs and our announced our annual spa incentive trip to the Dominican Republic.

Our annual Awards Night Celebration was the highlight of the weekend as we celebrated the successes of consultants at all phases of their business. From Jump Start Rewards, Director recognition, Dynamic Dozen in sales, top recruiters and Spa Destination earners, this show-stopping evening was incredibly memorable. The day before we revealed the new products and catalog for the fall/winter season and provided consultants with a leader panel workshop where they heard business enhancing ideas from top leaders.

Through our Giving Back Fund, Lemongrass Spa partnered with Children’s Hospital in donated over 250 backpacks filled with school supplies to patients at the Denver facility. Consultants from across the country brought gifts for the children with them to convention to be gifted to these deserving families.

Spa Incentive Trip to Jamaica

The Spa Destination Incentive Trip to the exotic beaches of Montego Bay, Jamaica was one of the biggest highlights of the year. Our trip recipients traveled in June and were pampered at the exclusive resort spa, enjoyed delightful international cuisine and participated in beachfront excursions. Many travelers went zip lining in the jungle, went on a bioluminescent lagoon tour, took a yoga class, enjoyed poolside Jamaican fare and played beach volleyball. The group had a Mastermind meeting where they had the opportunity to test new products and offer their feedback on incentives, training and programs for the following year.

A huge thank you to all of you: our customers, our community, our suppliers, and our employees for helping us make 2017 a year to remember and 2018 the best year yet!
